This village has the longest place name in the World, translated, the name means – St Mary’s Church in a hollow by the white hazel near the rapid whirlpool and St Tysilio’s Church by the red cave.

I always like to stop here with my group’s to get a photograph by the name board at the railway station.

Also nearby is the 1st womens institute hall and the Anglesey column, built in 1816 to commemorate the first Marquis of Anglesey, for his action at Waterloo. It’s 91ft high with 15 steps.

It really is “A PEOPLE THING”
