Llandudno

This is a Victorian resort that was built on land owned by the Mostyn family. During our stay here we visit the Great Orme, copper mining took place here in Roman times and the old workings have now been excavated.

To get to the summit you can take the Cable Car and Tramway. We also visit Happy Valley, popular gardens where live summer entertainment took place in the 1950’s

Back in the 1950’s, the film, "The Card", starring Alec Guiness, was made on location here.

Llandudno has 2 beach shores, back to back. The West shore has a monument to "Alice in Wonderland", whose writerLewis Carroll, spent his summer holidays here.

According to Arnold Bennett in 1911, Llandudno is more stylish than Blackpool or Rhyl.

It really is “A PEOPLE THING”
