Meriden

Meriden is “The Centre of England” and was once home to the Triumph Motorcycle Factory. Situated between Coventry and Birmingham, it still retains it’s village feel.

“The Green” with its memorial to cyclists is the village centre and has the local shops along it.

There are 2 village pubs, The Bull and The Queens and a large Hotel, The Manor.

Near to the village centre is a pond, known locally as the duck pond, because of the ducks living there.

The area that Meriden is in, is an historical one, with Oliver Cromwell’s army being billeted at nearby Berkswell, the Inn that they stayed is still standing, but is now a fashionable pub / restaurant called The Bear.

It really is “A PEOPLE THING”
