New York

Hello and welcome to my Tour Manager New York page.

New York is composed of 5 counties, Manhattan, Kings County (Brooklyn), Richmond County (Staten Island), Bronx County and Queens County.

I’ve been escorting holidays to New York since 1999, each time finding more to the city than before. The very first time I arrived in New York, I found the Sky Scrapers amazing, the street layout got easier after a few days and the traffic, complete chaos. When you think of New York you think of Yellow Cabs, 5th Avenue and of course Macy’s the World’s Largest Department Store.

Manhattan is flanked on the west side by the Hudson River and the East side by the Harlem River. Manhattan is made up of area’s, these are know as Downtown (below 1st street), The Village (1st to 14th Street), Greenwich Village (west of Broadway), Chelsea (14th to 34th street), because of it’s loft apartments and studio’s, Midtown (34th to 59th street) and 59th to 110th Street contains the Upper West Side and Upper East Side. Between the last two, lies Central Park, an oasis of peace and quiet.

During the visit’s I’ve made to New York, each time has been different, only because each group, enjoy different activities, from seeing Central Park from the air, to taking a cruise along the Hudson River, watching the skyline light up as the evening turns to night. Other holiday makers enjoy taking in a Broadway show or travelling to the top of the Empire State Building, in high speed elevators for breathtaking views of the city below.
