Waterford

When I travel to Ireland with holiday makers, Waterford is one of the places we stop at for 1 to 4 nights. Waterford is theCapitol of the Sunny South east of Ireland and is Irelands Oldest City. It was founded by the Vikings in 853

Waterford is well known for its Waterford Crystal and you can visit the visitors Centre that opened in June 2010.

Other things to see and do whilst in Waterford are Waterford Museum of Treasures, Theatre Royal, Chamber of Commerce building, City Hall, the Bishop’s Palace or just enjoy the shopping that the town has to offer. The Tall Ships Race will return here in 2011 & 2012.

When I take tours to Waterford I use different hotels to suit the clients, The Granville Hotel is a favorite.

The Granville Hotel was the home of the 18th century patriot, Thomas Francis Meagher before passing to the great transport entrepreneur, Carlo Bianconi.

It really is “A PEOPLE THING”
