Fiji

“Bula” as they say in Fiji.
As we arrive at Nadi, and where the International Airport is situated, it’s the only airport that I know of, that has a group singing as you arrive towards immigration, welcoming you to the Fijian islands. Now were on Fiji time, slow, slow and slower, stress what’s that, they ask!
The tours I manage stay on the coral coast, the hotel has its own private beach and is the perfect place to relax and enjoy the local area.
Kava is a drink that is usually drunk when you visit the local villages, this we do on a trip up river, once in the village, we are taken to the Kava ceremony, where it is custom to say “Bula” and then clap your hands, before and after drinking the drink, well muddy water, after a while your lips go numb, as the drink takes effect.
Other days out are visit’s to the Capital Suva, also available is a short trip to a Butterfly Farm.
This is a can be a really relaxing holiday, or for the more energetic, there is sailing canoeing and diving to be enjoyed.
At night we all enjoy dining alfresco, whilst listening to the gentle lapping of the sea.
Can’t wait to get back.

It really is “A PEOPLE THING”
