50th Anniversary Tour 2009


In 2009 Cliff Richard and The Shadows joined together for a massive tour to celebrate their Golden Anniversary, this tour is most likely to be a farewell tour to their many fans across the country. I’ve been busy escorting fans to some of the concerts to enjoy the celebrations of their 50 years together.

Cliff and The Shadows have been in the music business for over fifty years, their first UK number one was Living Doll, it was written by Lionel Bart who also wrote the music and lyrics for the musical version of Oliver.

Living Doll was a hit in 1959 but it was Cliff’s previous single Move It, that reached number two in 1958, that John Lennon referred to as the first English rock and roll record.

Cliff Richard is the only artist to have recorded a number one single in five consecutive decades, from the 1950s to the 1990s, he shares this record with Elvis Presley as the only artist to have made the UK singles chart in all of its decades 1950s to 2000s.

Cliff Richard has sold over 250million records and has had more than 130 albums in the top twenty.
The 50th Anniversary tour is already under way, where the fans have been seeing a fantastic show with hits from Cliff and The Shadows and I think, some new tracks from the latest album, which has been recorded to commemorate the anniversary.


Its been a pleasure to take the many fans to enjoy the atmosphere as well as the music, and to hear so many anicdotes and stories of their rise to fame, from the people that know Sir Cliff and the Shadows very well, their army of fans.

so i look forward to seeing you at one or more of these sell out concerts.
