Bath

A UNESCO World Heritage site, with a host of architectural buildings.

Visiting Bath is great, the town with its shops and history make it somewhere to enjoy. Bath (called Aquae Sulis by the Romans its name was changed to Bath during the Dark Ages), is one of the best preserved Georgian cities in Britain and also one of England's oldest, famous for its warm mineral springs, Bath sits on the banks of the River Avon. It's is a town that you can get up close and personal with. As time can sometimes be limited, I normally sugest a City Tour with a local guide, its amazing what you can see in a couple of hours.
The Royal Crecent and Circus, Pulteney Bridge and the Royal Victoria Park are just 3 of the top sightseeing attractions, we also get to see the Cricket Ground, Abbey and the Race Course.

The Roman Baths are located in the centre of town and are the best preserved Roman remains to be found anywhere in England. The water for the Baths originates in the Mendips. In the 18th century, the bath waters were believed to have had healing powers. Adjoining the Roman Baths is the Pump Room where the Bath waters can be seen while drinking a cup of tea.
